Into The Lion's Den

Well, this was not fun- at all.

What possessed me to think I could draw something this complicated? This taught me I am nowhere near at the level I need to be to draw something like this. I learned I do not have the skill to render “fluffy”, “lilac” or “transparent” in my chosen medium of graphite on paper.

I spent a total of twelve hours on this. I know the facial expressions are wrong. But, after spending so long on these ridiculously complicated outfits (seriously, Peeta’s was the simplest and even that one used my entire gambit of pencils due to its complexity), I couldn’t be bothered with striving to get the faces right. I was sick of looking at the 3 photoshop edits I had to make to get this photo visible enough to draw in the first place.

Maybe, I’ll come back and fix this when I get over my disappointment, but I’m over it for now.
